NC: WHAT INFLUENCES YOUR WORK?
My work is fuelled by a borderline obsession with nature in general, and particularly animals and the quirky charm they bring to the world.
I’m constantly inspired by their endless variety—whether it’s a peacock strutting like it’s on a catwalk or a sloth living its best life at 0.1 mph.
I get a kick out of capturing these little quirks, whether I’m out in nature, binge-watching wildlife documentaries, or just scrolling through animal memes.
There’s something magical about blending realism with a splash of artistic flair to highlight each animal’s personality. It’s like they’re all waiting to have their portraits taken!
NC: MOST UNDERRATED ARTIST ON NIGHTCAFE?
Evianna. She creates the most beautiful images day after day, and I truly appreciate her talent!
NC: A PROMPT THAT SURPRISED YOU?
From a year ago, using Dreamshaper V8:
"Close up of an insectoid alien head with multi-faceted eyes, red skin and antennae".
This produced some very detailed head shots of mech aliens that was surprising to me. I have not been able to re-create them recently.
NC: ANY TIPS FOR PROMPT WRITING?
I try to keep it simple, most of my prompts are no more than a short paragraph, sometimes just a sentence.
I tend to use some flamboyant words, like "riotous colors", to see what effect I get.
I have found that to get surreal images, I use words like psychedelic or hallucinatory!
NC: WHAT LED YOU TO USING NIGHTCAFE?
I first discovered DALL-E on Bing over a year ago, but I was looking for a site where I could share my creations with like-minded folks.
I found NightCafe doing a Google search, and have really enjoyed the friendships and support I have found here since.
